Chinese New Year is the most important festival in Chinese culture as it represents the start of a new year for everyone where people could reconcile and welcome the new year in hope for peace and prosperity.

During this festival, on the 9th day of the first lunar month which is the birthday of the Jade Emperor, the Chinese people would pray and make offerings to the Jade Emperor.
Ang ku kueh and Money Kueh are offerings to the Jade Emperor that cant be left out!
